If you’re vising my blog from Amy’s, WELCOME! I’m so glad you swung by for a visit!
It’s hard to believe next week is Easter! With just a week to go, I went with Easter Blessings for today’s card.
I started with a base color of Pool Party and layered it with Whisper White.
I then layered Blushing Bride with a sweet pattern from the Birthday Bouquet DSP. I used the Circles Framelits to cut a smaller circle out of them both first. Then I ran just the Birthday Bouquet DSP through with the next bigger size Circles Framelit.
This gives the “framed” look around the sentiment.
I traced a circle onto the Whisper White, so I’d have an idea where to stamp my sentiment. The Easter sentiment comes from the Suite Saying Stamp Set and is stamped in Blushing Bride. The Blushing Bride/Birthday Bouquet frame was then adhered to the Whisper White cardstock using dimensionals.
I added a satin knot in Whisper White to complete the card.
Enjoy and a very Happy Easter to you and your families!

Happy Saturday! I hope you and your family are enjoying a nice weekend together and that it’s a refreshing one at that!
For today’s card, I got in touch with my artistic side. I used the assortment of stamps from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set to create my card today. I used the colors Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, and Old Olive to highlight the stamps.
For my bow I used the Old Olive Baker’s Twine.
The sentiment, “Sending Wishes Your Way” comes from the Butterfly Basics Bundle which also includes the butterfly stamp that matches perfectly to the butterfly framelit.

Here in Upstate New York, in spring, we have the most gorgeous cherry blossom trees that bloom.
I love when they do because the beautiful, bright pink flower fills the tree and just radiates that spring has arrived. This was my inspiration for today’s card.
I started with a base of Melon Mambo and layered it with Whisper White. I used the Sheltering Tree to create my cherry blossom tree and stamped the leaves in both Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride.
I used the sentiment, “Thinking of You” from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set as well. It’s stamped in Melon Mambo and adhered with dimensionals.
After stamping the tree, I cut the cardstock in three and layered the middle section over Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and then reattached it. I added a bow of Linen Thread to the right side to finish it off.

To make a masculine card, be it birthday, Father’s Day, or anything really, can be a challenge. Being a man’s card automatically eliminates bows, girly colors, frills, and many other cutesy details.
For this reason, if you find yourself in need of a masculine card I HIGHLY recommend the Going Places DSP. The masculine colors and designs makes putting a card together super easy.
I started with a background of Mossy Meadow and then layered it with Whisper White. I then used two different patterns, one layered on Lost Lagoon and one layered on Mossy Meadow. I used the globe from the Going Global Stamp Set stamped in Lost Lagoon as a center focus of the card.
The sentiment is from the “Crazy About You” Stamp Set and was heat embossed in black.
I felt really challenged to participate in two different challenges for today’s card. The first was an open-ended color challenge (my own pick of 3) from CYC#111 and a layout challenge full of circles and SSC122
Challenging for two reasons: To be able to pick your own colors can be daunting. Sometimes it’s easier to work within limits. The circles I find challenging just because I almost never completely use circles. I tend to go for right angles. Even for this card, I couldn’t help but incorporate a rectangle at the bottom.
So here we go…
For today’s card I started with a base of Thick Whisper White layered with Calypsal Coral.
I then layered three different colored balloons from the Balloon Celebration Bundle over 1-3/4″ circles of the corresponding color. I used Calypsal Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Mint Macaron. I then used the smallest circle from the Circles Framelits and a 1/4″ hole punch to add some smaller circles.
The sentiment, “Happy Birthday” comes from the Balloon Celebration Bundle also and is stamped in Calypsal Coral. To finish it off, I added a Mint Macaron Enamel Dot.
I went a little whimsical for today’s card! What’s more fun than a flying bicycle? A flying tandem bicycle!
For my base, I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock. I layered it with another Whisper White cardstock (love white on white).
I used the Pedal Pusher Stamp Set for my bike and punched balloons from the Balloon Bouquet punch in a retired patterned paper, as well as Calypsal Coral. The clouds come from the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and were fussy cut. I traced them on to vellum, fussy cut them out, and then placed them over each cloud.
The bike itself is colored in using 2014-2016 In-Color Markers. The “Happy Spring” sentiment comes from the Crazy About You Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypsal Coral.
I stripped the black thread out of the Basic Black Baker’s Twine and just used the white thread for a little tie under each balloon.
Happy Monday everyone! Poor Mondays, they have such a bad name for themselves, but honestly, it’s a new week and a new chance to accomplish things and move forward! So, here’s to Monday!
I have April birthdays looming around the corner, so it’s about time to get working on them.
For today’s card I started with a Thick Whisper White as my base. From there I got out the beautiful Birthday Bouquet DSP and cut different patterns out in a variety of widths. I layered them over a Watermelon Wonder cardstock.
For fun, I snuck in a Metallic Foil Doily and a simple white knot.
For my sentiment I used the Perfect Pairing “Happy Birthday” which I love, love, love. I tend to gravitate towards clean, simple sentiments and this gem that Sale-a-bration has is a must! For a little sparkle, I added a Botanical Garden Jewel and a small Rhinestone.
Are you looking for a demonstrator? Feel free to shop my store! They are some great deals on clearance right now and Sale-a-bration is still going on! If you’ve had your eye on something – don’t wait. When it’s over, they’re gone for good.
So what do you do when you have a packed week and sick kids get thrown in the mix? You make a quick, simple card. It may be minimalist, but it still gets the point across and sometimes those are my favorite.
For today’s card, I was inspired by the color challenge this week over at Pals Paper Arts and the layout challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.
I started with a base color of Watermelon Wonder. I added two vertical strips from the Cherry on Top DSP. Overlapping their seam, I put a vertical strip of Pool Party.
To mimic the circles in the Cherry on Top DSP, I added two small circles in the bottom corner to help highlight the sentiment, “Hello.”
Today’s card is all about the fun, bright colors of a thank you card.
I started with a base of Melon Mambo. I then layered it with a bright, polka-dotted pattern from the It’s My Party DSP. The vertical pattern is also from the It’s My Party DSP.
My sentiment is from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set and is stamped in Mint Macaron. I matted it on Mint Macaron and added a few enamel dots from the It’s My Party Enamel Dots. I love how these dots coordinate perfectly with the paper and come in two different sizes.
To finish it off, I added two bows from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack, which again coordinates perfectly with the colors.
Check out this week’s Weekly Deals! They have some great deals to take advantage of. Keep in mind deals are good through March 14th and while supplies last.
For me the rhinestone jewels are a must! I also love the Bow Builder Punch and recently used it in my girly Easter basket. So cute!
