Stampin’ Up! Simple Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Simple…

I do love simple.

This week’s team challenge for me was, well, very challenging.  I could get the Night of Navy and Old Olive colors on the card, but struggled with the Granny Apple Green.

So I decided to keep things really simple with this week’s team sketch challenge.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then cut the Night of Navy cardstock on an angle and embossed it using the Winter Knit Embossing Folder.

I stamped the outer tree from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Old Olive ink and the inner tree in Granny Apple Green ink.

I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies and matted some Old Olive cardstock behind it.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I added an Old Olive rhinestone next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! CAS Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I then matted two patterns from the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper on Gold Foil.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out with the Christmas Cardinal Dies.

I stamped the holly from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Whisper White cardstock, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I colored it in using Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I fussy cut it out.  Underneath it I used the Christmas Cardinal Dies again, this time to cut out a few “sprigs” from Gold Foil for under the holly.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season Christmas Card

There may not be snow yet, but we are in full fall mode here in Upstate New York.

It was a gorgeous weekend and I can’t say it enough, how much I love crafting this time of the year.

My card today starts with Real Red cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the snowman and arms from the Snowman Season Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and cut them out using the Snowman Builder Punch.  I used the same punch to cut out the hat from one of the patterns from the Let It Snow DSP.

I stamped the scarf from the Playful Penguins Stamp Set in Real Red ink and fussy cut it out.  I also colored the carrot in using Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I used the Seasonal Layers Dies to cut out two snowflakes to go around the snowman.  I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Gather Together Card

Last Saturday was World Card Making Day.

The team and I had fun going live all throughout the day with different presentations.  Today’s card is the one I shared.

It features the Gather Together Bundle and what I love (and it’s hard to see in the pictures) is the hint of gold ink on the leaves.  Be sure to watch the video below as you can see it better on video and I also show I got this effect.

It was really fun to see all our presentations and if interested, you can still join the group to see the different videos.

The design for today’s card was inspired by a color and sketch challenge I gave my team.  For the month of October, each week I’m giving them a new challenge.  The idea is to jumpstart creativity and even challenge them to try new things…and of course, there’ll be prizes at the end.  🙂

Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

My card today was inspired by a card I saw that Emma Goddard created.  I loved the neutral color pallet.

My card starts off with Gray Granite cardstock.  I adhered a pattern from the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card.

I cut a panel of Gray Granite cardstock and first stamped the sentiment from the So Many Stars in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Around the sentiment I stamped the smaller stars in Gray Granite ink (stamping off first).

I covered the seam with a ribbon from the Come to Gather Combo Pack.  I then used the Stitched Stars Dies to cut out a star from Silver Foil and another from Crumb Cake cardstock, which I layered over one another.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moose Video Tutorial

Yay for it being Wednesday!

Do you know I look forward to this day all week long.  I love sharing my live tutorials with you – it really is a highlight for me.

Last week’s tutorial used the oh-so-cute Merry Moose Bundle.  I’m from Upstate New York where there’s lots of rustic decorating in the Adirondack Mountains and I get the same feeling from this card.

But the highlight of the card are the jingle bells!

I’ll be back tonight with another live tutorial at 7:30 pm EST on my Facebook page.  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I’ll draw a name of someone to receive tonight’s card.

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can always find them on my YouTube channel.

Stampin’ Up! Ride With Me Thankful Card

This month’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Giving Thanks.”  Have fun hopping around to see what the team created for the theme.

The inspiration for today’s card came from our new inspiration challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It’s a super fun fall challenge and I hope you’ll play along!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it using the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and matted it on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I stamped the truck from the Ride With Me Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I colored it in using Smoky Slate (truck), Pumpkin Pie (pumpkins), Old Olive (leaves) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the tires separately, fussy cut them out, and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the pumpkins from the Gather Together Stamp Set, colored them in with the same Stampin’ Blends, and cut them with the coordinating dies.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty & Joy Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie ink and added a few Basic Gray Enamel Dots.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Thinking of You Snow Front Card

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a nice weekend and were able to get some stamping in.  I love this time of the year and it’s by far my favorite time to stamp.

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I stamped the images from the Snow Front Stamp Set on it, the mountain in Delicata Gold ink, trees in Shaded Spruce ink, and cardinal in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I cut out a scalloped circle from Gold Foil using the Layering Circles Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Behind it I tucked some Shaded Spuce ribbon.

Enjoy!
