My inspiration for today’s card definitely comes from the beautiful sunsets we’ve been having here lately in Upstate New York. Excuse the blurriness, but it was going down so fast, I just wanted to capture the gloriousness of it while I could.
When I saw this week’s CASE(E) this Sketch Challenge, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
You see, one of the things I LOVE about Stampin’ Up! are the many variations of a single color. Generically speaking, yellow is yellow, but at the same time it can have a deeper, brighter, or orangier (yes, that’s a word) feel to it. I took full advantage of the many variations of Stampin’ Up! colors for today’s card.
For my card, I started with abackground of Cherry Cobbler layered with Whisper White.
From there, I used different shades of cardstock from yellow to red: Starting with yellow, we have Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Hello Honey.
Then we have Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist, and Tangerine Tang0. To finish off on the bottom, I used Cherry Cobbler.
The sentiment, “Happy Day” is from the Sale-a-bration Perfect Pairing in Tangelo Twist.
Enjoy!
