Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven Acetate Card

Happy March!

Here’s hoping it behaves more like a lamb and not a lion and brings spring quickly.
Don’t get me wrong – I love me some snow.

But come March, I’m ready for tulips, sunshine, and fresh air!

I had a customer ask recently if I could make a card using the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Acetate, so here we go…

My card starts off with Purple Posy cardstock, although I cut the bottom off the front from where the acetate starts down.

I then cut a piece of the Hydrangea Mercury Acetate at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, adhering it to the Purple Posy card front. One side of this acetate has purple hues and the other side is silver. I put the silver side out.

Next, I took a pattern from the Hydrangea Hill DSP, cut it down to cover the top and bottom, matted it on Basic White cardstock, and adhered it over the acetate.

Next I stamped the “filler” image from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set in Old Olive ink. I cut it out, as well as a Purple Posy petal detail, and Old Olive leaf detail using the Hydrangea Dies. I adhered this over the acetate using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink, cutting it out with the same dies.

On the inside, I added a piece of the same pattern of Hydrangea Hill DSP and stamped some of the flowers in Gorgeous Grape ink.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Vine Design Congratulations Card

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I’ve been giving my team a sketch and color challenge each week. My card today was inspired by this week’s challenges.

I love challenges!!! They’re a great way to spark creativity when designing a card and even try out new colors together.

My card starts off with Thick Basic White cardstock, which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. To the left I adhered a narrow Petal Pink pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper, which I matted on Petal Pink cardstock.

The Flowering Vine Dies has really beautiful images! It cuts out beautiful floral details and has coordinating solid flowers that can be adhered behind it to pop through.

I cut the bigger floral image out of Basic White cardstock and the smaller flowers popping through from Coastal Cabana, Mint Macaron, and Petal Pink cardstock. I adhered it down using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the outline and the sentiment from the Vine Design Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana ink. I adhered this down using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Coastal Cabana bow next to it.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!

Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness Birthday Card

Hello from Peru!!

For those wondering, we arrived safe and well to Peru where we’re enjoying time with family and warmer days!

I still plan on sharing with you lots of projects with you while I’m away and business as usual, so if you have any questions, need anything, or if I can be of any help, please don’t hesitate.

Today’s card starts off with Magenta Madness cardstock, which I layered with a Magenta Madness pattern from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper.

I next created the cutest hippo from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set using Smoky Slate ink (stamping off for the ligher shade). I stamped the eyes, nose, and mouth in Memento Black ink and the bow and balloon in Magenta Madness ink. I cut everything out using the Hippo & Friends Dies.

I used the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out two layering pieces, one from Whisper White cardstock and the larger from Coastal Cabana cardstock. On the Whisper White layer, I stamped the sentiment from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set in Magenta Madness ink and the balloon string in Memento Black ink.

The Hippo & Friends Dies come with this really cool die that cuts out a piece so you can weave through ribbon. I used it with the Coastal Cabana layer.

Next I matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Whisper White cardstock. I wound some Coastal Cabana ribbon around it (and through the Coastal Cabana layer) and secured it with white twine. To get this white twine, I separated the black and white twine from the Playful Pets Trim.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT WHISPER WHITE PRODUCT

Stampin’ Up! is sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, Stampin’ Up! wasn’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.

Stampin’ Up! has worked tirelessly on trying to find a comparable product and have announced the new color, Basic White.

]Our new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as we have them in stock. This means that some Whisper White and Basic White products may be available at the same time. Additionally, due to the nature of sourcing, some Basic White products may not be available before the Whisper White products sell out.

Current Whisper White product is available while supplies last with an order limit of 2 per item per order. Stampin’ Up! Week of Designer Series Paper Card – Day 3 – Video Tutorial

All this week I’ve been sharing cards that use Designer Series Paper.
And I’m also sharing the top ways I like to use it.

If you missed Day 1, you can see it here and Day 2 here.

This is all leading up to a Designer Series Paper sale beginning October 1st – 15% off select Designer Series Paper.

AND on any order $50+ when you order at least one pack of Designer Series Paper, I’m throwing in a free pack of solid cardstock (in addition to the free $9 item).

Day 3: I love using Designer Series Paper for what they’re designed for.

What do I mean?  Whether it’s a snowflake pattern, tree pattern, heart pattern, or a pattern with people – I use it for just that.  If there’s an actual image being shown, I use it on my card for what it actually is.

Today, I wanted a background to my skiing buddy, so I went for a snowflake pattern.

Today’s card is the one I shared last week for my Facebook live.  It uses the super cute Freezin’ Fun Bundle in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog and I paired it with the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.

I’ll be back tonight with another live demonstration at 7:30 pm EST on my Facebook page.  Catch it live and you’ll have a chance to win the card!

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can check them out on my YouTube channel.

To see how I made today’s card, check out the video below:

Save 15% on select Designer Series Paper in the month of October!!  This is a GREAT time to stock up!
