Stampin’ Up! By The Dock Watercolor Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.

I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and generously applied water using an Aqua Painter.  I added one layer of Coastal Cabana ink to it using the Aqua Painter, dried it with the Heat Tool, wet the paper again, and added more color.

By adding color, drying it, and adding more color, you get a nice layered look of color.

I then offset a panel of Soft Suede cardstock underneath it.

I then stamped the dock and birds in Soft Suede ink and boat in Early Espresso ink on Watercolor Paper.  I used my Aqua Painter, not too wet, to pull color out from the stamped image.  I cut these out using the coordinating Dockside Dies.

I also added a little Daffodil Delight ink to the bellies of the birds.

I then stamped the sentiment from the By The Dock Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake banner.  I adhered all the images down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Get Well Soon Card

Normally at this point in the week I’d be sharing last week’s Facebook Live Tutorial card.  However, I was under the weather last week and had to cancel.

So I’m sharing with you a regular card today.  However, I am feeling much better and will be on tonight at 7:30 pm EST for my Facebook Live tutorial.  I sure hope you’ll join me!

My card today starts off with Calypso Coral cardstock.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I used one of the images from the Parcels & Petals Stamp Set and stamped it in Calypso Coral starting at the bottom full strength and then stamped it twice more without re-inking above it.  That gives it a gradient effect.

I then matted this on Petal Pink cardstock.

I then stamped the sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Calypso Coral cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Underneath it I folded over some Petal Pink ribbon and then I adhered it all down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Get Well Soon Card

I was so happy to see a “Get Well Soon” sentiment in the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set…

And I think the tulips from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set (available Jan 3) are perfect for such a card.

My card starts off with Melon Mambo cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo ink and the stems and leaves in Call Me Clover ink.  In order to make the stems shorter, I put a piece of cardstock on the bottom when I stamped them.

I stamped the flowers on another piece of Whisper White cardstock in Melon Mambo ink using the Stamparatus.  I then inked up the edges of the flowers in Poppy Parade ink using a Stampin Dauber and stamped them again.  I fussy cut these out and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink and snipped the ends in a banner.  I then added a few Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

Enjoy!
