The inspiration for my card today comes from this week’s challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
My card today starts off with Soft Sky cardstock as its base. I then layered a pattern from the NEW Falling in Love DSP (2017 Occasions Catalog available January 4th) over some Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. I took another pattern from the same DSP and layered it over Sahara Sand.
Next I cut a 1-1/2″ strip of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum after cutting the one end with the Triple Banner Punch.
I took another pattern from the Falling in Love DSP and cut out a butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits. I also cut out the same butterfly in Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum which I layered behind the first out. I layered each one a little off center to the one below which I thought made it look like it is fluttering. Lastly, I added a few Soft Sky enamel dots over the butterfly.
