Today’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop is a color challenge and the colors scream Halloween.
I actually made two cards today. I started off with one and even liked the way it looked, but then remembered a technique I had seen that I thought would work really well.
Let’s start with card #1:
I used Basic Black cardstock and then layered some Basic Gray over Pumpkin Pie. On the Basic Gray I used the Balloon Celebration Cloud to stamp some black clouds and cut out a circle and used the negative to create the moon.
Next I used the Halloween Treat Stamp Set which I stamped in Archival Black on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and fussy cut out.
I used a tiny hole punch to punch a few holes in the Halloween Treat sentiment to weave through some Black Baker’s Twine.
Now on to Card #2:
It’s basically the same card, but I created different clouds.
Instead of stamping the cloud stamp directly, I stamped the cloud, but then cut it out. I used the outline to create a stencil to create the bundle of clouds. I used daubers to stamp above each cloud in the Archival Black.
Since I changed the clouds, I also decided to change the position of the Baker’s Twine, this time tucking it behind the sentiment.
Enjoy!!
