Whenever I’m unsure how to use a product, I turn to the catalog to see how Stampin’ Up! used it.
Today’s card was inspired by a card in the July-Dec Mini Catalog (p 78).
I made it a birthday card to fit into this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop theme: “Birthday.”
Splendid Thoughts Card Details:
My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock which I embossed using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Over that I adhered a piece of Vellum.
I first stamped the one leaf from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp in Polished Pink ink and used a Blender Pen to pull the ink out every so slightly to color them in. (Do this light handed or you’ll rip the cardstock.)
I cut this out, along with two other leaves from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, using the coordinating Splendid Stems Dies.
(The Splendid Thoughts Bundle will be available starting July 1st!)
I stamped the sentiment from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp in Pool Party ink and cut it out with the coordinating dies.
Under the sentiment, I wound around some Pool Party ribbon.
Thanks for checking out my card today!
