Stampin’ Up! Patriotic Thank You Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a theme challenge: Punch It. Have fun hopping through and seeing what everyone’s created this week!

I decided to do a patriotic thank you card.

This card and I struggled a bit. There was a moment of – This just isn’t working (or looking good). Did you see this post?

Well, the card and I made up and worked through our differences, and I really like how it came out.

My card starts off with Thick Basic White cardstock.

I then took a panel of Vellum and embossed it using the Checks & Dots Embossing folder. It’s a mini embossing folder, so it didn’t cover the complete piece of Vellum.

I couldn’t done a technique that I shared here (fast forward to minute 11), but was feeling lazy and left it as is.

I then used the Ice Cream Builder Punch and cut out scoops from Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight, and Basic White cardstock. I cut the cone out of Crumb Cake cardstock. I adhered one over the other and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

Underneath it I wound around some Silver Trim, which I am currently obsessed with and keep using over and over, and also added a couple of Red Rhinestones over the white scoop.
