Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect Birthday

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

I was REALLY inspired by this week’s colors!!  I love these colors together.  They just look so funky.

My card starts off with Basic Black cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Petal Passion DSP and used a Sponge Dauber to stamp Lemon Lime Twist ink in two corners.  I matted this on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and adhered it to the card.

Next I created my cluster in the center of the card.  First I adhered down a piece of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.  Next I stamped the banner from the Banners for You Stamp Set and cut it out using the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits.  I trimmed off the one side (see below) of the banner and adhered it down.

I used the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set to make my party blowers.  I alternated Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Memento Black ink and then fussy cut them out.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Berry Burst cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! We Must Celebrate

I cannot say enough how much I love the Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I’m not usually one to color a lot, but they make coloring and shadowing so easy.

Although the Pink Pirouette markers (as used in today’s card) are retiring, 11 new colors are being added to the Stampin’ Blends collection.

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then layered over it a pattern from the Petal Passion DSP and added a 1-1/2″ Pink Pirouette banner over that.

Next I stamped the animals from the We Must Celebrate Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored in the images using Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink on a small panel of Pink Pirouette cardstock and added a few Pink Pirouette Enamel stars in the bottom corner.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter Birthday

First things first:  The Clearance Rack has just been updated.  The prices are incredibly low on these items so they’re sure to go fast.  Check everything out here.

Now on to today’s card…

My card today starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I then cut a pattern from the Myths & Magic DSP to adhere on an angle over it.

Next I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I first stamped the birds from the Bird Banter Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I then stamped the branches underneath the birds.  For a few of them I had to do the masking technique.

This is where you stamp the (in this case) bird on a scrap piece of computer paper (or Post-It) and then fussy cut it out.  You lay this paper over the stamped image (again, in this case, the bird) and then you stamp the other image over it (in this case, the branch).  This gives the illusion that the branch is going behind the bird.  (See the fourth bird down and the tail of the third bird down.)

I colored in the birds using a variety of Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I wrapped around some Bermuda Bay ribbon and tied a Linen Thread bow in it.  I adhered the Whisper White cardstock down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Bird Banter Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink and adhered it also with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s TGIF Challenges.

Stampin’ Up! Truly Tailored – FMS332

Happy Monday!

Here’s to a great week ahead which hopefully includes some crafting for you.  I find if I don’t get some crafting in each week, I’m pretty miserable.

Ladies often ask me how I’m able to carve out time to craft each week and sometimes daily…easily, I just do.  I know it’s good for my mental health and sanity, so I consciously make time in my week.

My card today is a fun one using the True Gentleman Suite from the Occasions Catalog.  I started off with Night of Navy cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the True Gentleman DSP pack.  I then took another smaller pattern, matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock, and adhered it to the card.

Next I adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon over the longer DSP panel.  I used the sentiment from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set and covered the outside of it and the face of the fox in washi tape so that only the words “You’re a Fox” were uncovered.  I inked up the sentiment in Night of Navy ink, removed the washi tape, and stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch.

I then stamped the fox from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and fussy cut him out.  I adhered the fox using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few True Gentelman buttons.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! – Sympathy Card – PP388

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I was really inspired by the colors (see the challenge below) to make a sympathy card.  These are my least favorite kind of cards to make because you know that if/when you have to mail them, it’s because someone is grieving.

Yet, it’s a way to show your love and support for them and hopefully lift their spirits, even just for a moment.

My card starts off with Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper Wonder cardstock which I embossed using the flower Petal Pair embossing folder.  I then matted it on Elegant Eggplant cardstock and adhered it to the card.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Elegant Eggplant cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out and the scalloped Wister Wonder circle behind it using the Layering Circles Framelits.

Behind the sentiment I snuck in a die cut leaf from the Petals & More Thinlits using Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I also stamped the flower image from the Petals Palette Stamp Set on some Vellum paper in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder it, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the same Petals & More Thinlits.  Finally I added a banner from the Fresh Florals DSP behind it all.  I adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Picnic with You – Good Things Card

It’s been a busy Stampin’ Up! last few days.  With all the information coming out with the Retiring List and demos being able to see the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog – it’s been so much fun!

I love being Stampin Up busy!

If you have ANY questions about anything right now, please don’t hesitate to contact me – stampinjaimie@gmail.com

My card today starts off with Powder Pink cardstock which I layered with the cloud pattern from the Myths & Magical DSP.  I used this pattern last week and honestly I can’t get enough.  I’d buy a whole pack of just this cloud paper alone if I could.

I then cut out a circle using the Layering Circle Framelits from Powder Pink cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Picnic with You Stamp Set in Versamark, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

I cut out another circle, this time in Whisper White cardstock, for the background to my basket.  I stamped some of the stems and flowers from the Picnic with You Stamp Set (Pear Pizzazz, Power Pink) directly on the Whisper White circle and also stamped and cut out a few using the coordinating Picnic Basket Builder framelits (adhering them using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals).

I stamped the basket in Sahara Sand ink and cut it out, adhering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I wound around some Powder Pink Ribbon a few times, tying and securing it with a Linen Thread bow.

Enjoy!

Sunshine & Rainbows – Hand Stamped Sentiments #287

Today’s my second post as part of the design team with Hand Stamped Sentiments!!!

It’s so exciting!

Today we have a color challenge for you.  I sure hope you’ll participate!

If you missed seeing my blog post name it’s Sunshine & Rainbows…

Now if you’re thinking these colors have nothing to do with a rainbow, well, you’d kind of be correct.

But this is stamping and we get to have some fun!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took a brayer and “painted” on a Soft Sky background.  I stamped a few raindrops from the Sunshine & Rainbows Stamp Set in Soft Sky ink over it.

I used the coordinating Rainbow Builder Framelits to cut out the rainbow using Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, and Soft Sky cardstock, two of each.  I also cut out the background clouds, as well as the smaller clouds from Whisper White cardstock.

I took the smaller clouds and rolled the edge in Versamark ink.  I then sprinkled them with Silver Embossing Powder and heat set them.  I adhered them using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink in the bottom corner.

Thanks for swinging by and don’t forget to play along with our challenge! 🙂

Daisy Delight Thank You

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

Here in Upstate New York, we’re having the wackiest weather.  Yesterday it was cloudy and rainy in the morning, the sun came out in the afternoon and it hit 50 degrees, and it snowed at night.

So I obviously can’t control the weather, but what I can do is make bright, spring-y cards!

I start today’s card off with Marina Mist cardstock.  I stamped right over the front of it with the Hardwood stamp set in Marina Mist ink.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped two stems/leaves on it.  I stamped the petals separately in Marina Mist ink and cut them out using the Daisy Punch.  I adhered the petals down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I matted the Whisper White on Old Olive cardstock and then adhered everything to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it with the heat tool.  I added a small pattern from the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter – GDP#132

I love Stampin Up’s Designer Series Paper.  It’s one of the first things I ever purchased.

It’s really high quality and I love that the packaging tells you what colors are used.  I’m a little OCD and I love that it makes creating a matchy-matchy card so easy!

The cloud pattern comes from the Myths & Magic DSP and is so fun.  It really could be used for so many images – rainbows, birds, scenery – the “skies” the limit…did you see what I did there?! 😉

My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock which I layered with that fun cloud pattern from the Myths & Magic DSP.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the branch and the two birds from the Bird Banter Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored them in using the Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and a tiny bit of Light Bermuda Bay (for the center of the flowers) Stampin’ Blends markers.  I matted this on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  adhered the cardstock to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink and added a few Glitter Epoxy Shapes around it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge which is a CASE (copy and selectively edit) the Designer challenge.  I was definitely inspired by the colors in Stesha’s card, as well as how everything was tucked into one corner.

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring Daffodils

Did you have a nice Easter yesterday?

I certainly did.  We went to church.  I cooked, get this…steak (not sure how I got convinced to do that).  And the sun was even out despite it being cold.

It was a nice Easter and I certainly hope yours was as well!

My card today uses the beautiful You’re Inspiring Stamp Set!  I’ve stamped with this set before (you can see that card here) but used Stampin’ Blends to color it in.  This time I wanted to use an Aqua Painter.

I started off with a Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and adhered it over a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock which was matted on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I then stamped the daffodil image from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Archival Black ink on watercolor paper.  I used an Aqua Painter and Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Curry (for the darker areas of the flower) inks to color it in.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I used the Stamparatus (available June 1st) to get a heat embossed effect using Old Olive ink.  I set up the Stamparatus and inked up the sentiment in Old Olive ink first and stamped on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I then kept the stamp where it was positioned on the Stamparatus, but cleaned it using a baby wipe.  I then inked it up using Versamark and went over the same spot I had just stamped.  I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
