Stampin’ Up! Thankful Thoughts

I’ve made a few cards lately with a similar color combination to today’s card.  You can see them here, here, and here.  I think you can easily say that the new Berry Burst color is one of my favorites!

My card today starts off with Berry Burst cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it offset on the card.  I took a pattern from the Color Theory DSP and matted it on Whisper White cardstock and offset it the other way on the card.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Squares Framelits to cut out (what I’ll call) a picture frame.  I wound some Pool Party Solid Baker’s Twine around it.

I inked up the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist ink.  I then dabbed a sponge with Pool Party ink just on the edges of the stamp.  I cut it down and matted it on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by the challenge this week at Global Design Project.

Stampin’ Up! Oh So Eclectic Greeting

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Berry Burst cardstock.  I used the one leaf embossing framelit from the Eclectic Layers Framelits to make an embossed impression in the left side of the cardstock.

I took a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and used the one die cut from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle to cut out a pattern in two of the corners.  I matted the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock on Whisper White cardstock and adhered a piece of Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon to the one side.  I purposefully left a tiny piece of Lemon Lime Twist poking out the side, as I did with leaving a tiny bit of Berry Burst showing to the right of the Lemon Lime Twist.

I cut out two leaves from one of the patterns in the Naturally Eclectic DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Celebration Time

My card today actually starts off with Basic Black cardstock, which you can’t see at all because of the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  I was inspired by a card I saw by Chrissy Larson.  I thought it was just so clever to start off with DSP.  I then matted a panel of Pool Party cardstock on some Basic Black cardstock.

Next I created my layering.  First I cut out a stitched oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then a piece of Finely Woven Tranquil Tide ribbon.  I used the Celebration Thinlits to cut out the striped piece of Powder Pink cardstock.  The thinlit actually leaves a little hole at the time of it, but I just snipped it off.  Next, I wound around some Silver Thread and then added another pattern from the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I cut it out with the Celebration Thinlits.  I added a few rhinestones for a little detail.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

Daisy Delight Greeting

My card today was inspired by challenges this week at Fab Friday and Sunday Stamps.

My card starts off with Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I took a pattern from the Delightful Daisy DSP, matted it on Whisper White cardstock, and adhered it to the card.

I took another panel from the Delightful Daisy DSP and made a banner going across the center of the card and adhered over it a piece of Old Olive mini chevron ribbon.

I created my daisies using Berry Burst ink and the Daisy Delight Bundle.  I added a few Old Olive leaves (that I fussy cut out) and a Clear Faceted Gem in the center of each.  I adhered them using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst ink and adhered it overlapping one daisy.  I stacked two Stampin’ Dimensionals to the end that wasn’t touching the flower.

Enjoy!

Patriotic Thank You

My card today was inspired by both challenges this week at Fusion Card.

My card today starts off with Dapper Denim cardstock as its base.  I took a panel of Real Red cardstock and dry embossed it using the Oh My Stars embossing folder and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.  Before adhering it to the card, I wrapped around it a piece of Striped Dapper Denim ribbon.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set in Dapper Denim ink on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut out one flower and two leaves from Whisper White cardstock and adhered them to the card.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Love

My card today was inspired by challenges at Global Design Project and Stamp, Ink, Paper (although loosely as I’m just now seeing the “add a metallic”).

My card today starts off with Island Indigo cardstock.  I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and matted it on Berry Burst cardstock.  I used the Lemon Lime ink pad and an Aqua Painter to add color behind the jar.

I created my jar using the Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating Everyday Jars framelits.  I stamped the outline of the jar in Memento Black and the stems in Island Indigo ink.  I first stamped the flowers in Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist ink and then stamped the highlight in White Craft ink.

I adhered a Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon around the top of the jar and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card.  I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Badges & Banners

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I took a pattern from the Fresh Florals DSP and adhered it on the card

I took a banner of Watercolor Paper and stamped the birdcage image from the Badges & Banners stamp set in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I then took an Aqua Painter and wet the paper and added Berry Burst ink to it.  In order to dry it faster, I used the Heat Tool to dry the paper which made the ink run, which I actually really liked.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Berry Burst cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and set it with the heat tool.  I used the Duet Banner punch to cut it out.  Lastly, I matted the banner on a bigger Berry Burst banner.

Enjoy!

June 2017 Paper Pumpkin

Do you have a child that is creative?
Does it seem overwhelming to start a project with them?
Want to beat the summer’s “I’m bored”?

Or maybe you yourself love to be creative, but don’t know where to start?
Or maybe you don’t want to invest in all the crafting product, but would still like to create?

Paper Pumpkin to the rescue!

My daughter had a friend over this morning and I thought it would be great for them to put together June’s Paper Pumpkin.  They made the six cards and four gift bags on their own (with a little guidance).  I plan on filling the bags with watermelon sour candy and giving them to their teachers, as tomorrow is their last day of school!!

Here we come summer!

Are the projects perfectly made?  No.  But they’re made with lots of love and I believe their teachers are going to love them!

The four gift bags easily come together and will hold the watermelon sours as a little something to say thanks to their teachers.

The six cards were my favorite part.  I love the bright colors and summer-y patterns.  Teaching kids to send/give thank you cards is something I think is so important and definitely their teachers deserve it!

Check out a video from Stampin’ Up! showing the 2017 June Paper Pumpkin and click here to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! At Home With You

Today’s card starts off with Soft Sky cardstock.  I dry embossed it using the beautiful new Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I then took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and stamped in Memento Black ink the house from the At Home With You stamp set.  I cut it out using the coordinating At Home Framelits.  I stamped the wreath in Memento Black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored it in using Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride, and Wild Wasabi markers from the Subtles Stampin Write Markers.

I then cut a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder ink to the right of it.  I added a few pearls for some detail.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was loosely based on this week’s challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!
