Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer & Dashing Along DSP

Today’s card is one I made last Wednesday night for my Facebook Live Tutorial.

I do a live tutorial every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST.  If you catch it live, and leave a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive that night’s card.

Now on to the card…

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Dashing Along DSP on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.

The Dashing Along Designer Series Paper is exclusive to the month of September and free with a purchase or party order of $250.

In the corner of the DSP, I stamped the sentiment from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Next I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a pattern from the same Dashing Along DSP and then another circle using the Circles Framelits a Garden Green circle.  Under the Garden Green circle I wound around some Gold Thread and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I used the coordinating Detailed Deer Thinlits to cut out the deer from Whisper White cardstock and the frame details from Gold Foil.

Enjoy!

Check out the video below to see how I made it:

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Fall Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Crushed Curry cardstock.

Next I cut out a leaf from Gold Foil using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  I tied a Merry Merlot bow to adhere just over the leaf.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Versamark ink on a panel of Mossy Meadow cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I adhered this down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Holiday Catalog Facebook Party

In years past I’ve held catalog launch parties in my house and they’re a blast. The only problem is that the majority of you aren’t local to me and I want to be able to craft and have fun with you too.

So I’m trying something new to me and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Introducing my Holiday Catalog Facebook Party…

Join me October 26th at 7:00 p.m. on my Facebook page. I will go live in a video and “together” we’ll create two Make & Take cards. We’ll play Bingo (and of course there’ll be prizes) and there’ll be a Scavenger Hunt.  I’ll also have a few “door” prizes to give away.

Again, this is all online. You do not need to be local to participate.

The party date is October 26th.  I will create a closed Facebook group for this event.  If you are unable to make it live, the video(s) will be there until November 1st for you to still make the cards (games will have already been done).

The cost to join the party is $20. This covers the cost to put together and mail you the Make & Take cards. The Bingo is free to participate in.

Be sure to share the Facebook event and invite friends, family, and co-workers to the party.  Just think – we’ll make cards together, play some games, give away some prizes – all from the comfort of your home.  Pajamas are welcome!

The Make & Take cards will be two cards featuring new product from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  All product needed to put the cards together will be mailed to your prior to October 26th.  However, as per Stampin’ Up! policy, I can’t mail you any stamped images.

For the sentiments you can either use a sentiment from a stamp set you already own, or you can purchase the Many Blessings Stamp Set ahead of time, which is the set that I’ll use in my examples.  Please note the only stamping on the cards will be the sentiments.

To participate in my Holiday Facebook Online Party, please fill out the form below and I’ll send you a PayPal invoice via e-mail. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay the invoice.  There is an option to pay by credit card through PayPal without setting up an account.

You have until October 15th to sign up, so don’t wait!  It’s going to be a lot of fun.

Please note that only residents in the United States may participate.  Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Well Notes

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is a fun color challenge.  Be sure to participate this week and link up your project to the challenge.

I thought I would keep things super clean and simple today with a set of note cards.

I love note cards – they don’t need a lot of detail on them and yet they do just the trick when wanting to send “just a note.”  I made these note cards the other day, so maybe I’m on a roll.

My note card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.    I then cut a banner using Gorgeous Grape cardstock to run down the middle.

I then stamped the wreath from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock, which I matted on Night of Navy cardstock.

I then stamped the bow in Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut it out, adhering it with Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I decided to switch the colors of the wreath and bow to have a few options with subtle differences.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic New Home Card

You might see today’s card and think – tropical theme and a new home card?!

They don’t go together.

And you’d probably be right, but this card was designed with someone very special in mind.  My aunt is moving from the New England area to Florida, and they’re looking forward to the warm, ocean-y, palm tree atmosphere that this brings.

My card starts off with Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I then adhered over it a pattern from the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.  I loved how Karren, from the Global Design Project’s design team, did her sentiment along the side and thought I would follow her lead.  I stamped the sentiment from the At Home With You stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a small panel of Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the leaves from the Tropical Chi stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating Tropical Thinlits.

I tied a Granny Apple Green ribbon to go over the leaves and added a few Granny Apple Green Glittery Enamel Shapes.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Spirited Snowmen – Love Never Melts

I have been on a Stampin’ Blends Markers kick this week.

Today’s card is #4 that has used them.  Stampin’ Up! has added so many great colors between the Annual Catalog and Holiday Catalog that it makes coloring so easy and fun!

You can see my other three cards here, here, and here.

My card today is a simple, but oh so cute card.  I wish you could see it in person because the photo doesn’t do it justice.

It starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I then stamped the snowman couple from the Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock (which eventually gets matted on another Whisper White panel).

I used Light Basic Black (hat), Light Smokey slate (hat), Dark and Light Cherry Cobbler (heart, hat, scarf, holly berries), Light and Dark Old Olive (holly leaves, bow), Light and Dark Crumb Cake (scarf, arms), Light Pumpkin Pie (carrot nose0, Light Petal Pink (light shadowing under showmen) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color them in.

I then stamped the snowflakes from the Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set in Versamark ink all around the snowmen.  I sprinkled it with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink under the snowmen.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Trick or Tweet Card

This week the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is joining the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  We could use the  sketch challenge or color challenge.  I thought they both worked nicely together.

My card starts off with Granny Apple Green cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper.

Next I stamped the kitty image from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the kitty and the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker to give a slight shade to the bandages.

I stamped the pumpkin on a separate piece of Whisper White in Memento Black ink, which I colored with the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers and Light Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I fussy cut it out with the Paper Snips and adhered it over the kitty’s paw with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I matted the Whisper White cardstock panel on Granny Apple Green cardstock and placed a piece of Black Glittered Organdy ribbon underneath it.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and added a few Mango Melody enamel shapes from the Best Route Enamel Shapes next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! So Santa Christmas Card

I am having so much fun coloring with the Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I’ve always been really intimidated by water coloring, but using the Stampin’ Blends Markers makes coloring so easy and a lot of fun!

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  Next I matted a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which I embossed using the Simply Stripes embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock.

Before adhering it down, I wrapped around some Poppy Parade ribbon and tied a bow (to be adhered over the Whisper White).

I stamped the image from the So Santa Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the images.  I also used the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker to give Santa some rosy cheeks.

I matted this on a slightly larger panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a detailed look at how I made this card, please check out this video:

Stampin’ Up! Country Home Thanks

Hello friends!

I love the product suites that Stampin’ Up! puts together in their catalogs.

It’s a combination of stamps, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and embellishments that all coordinate together.  It’s a sure win that all the elements will look great today.  Makes card making so easy.

Today’s card uses the Country Lane Product Suite.

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock which I covered with a pattern from the Country Lane DSP.  I then matted a panel of Old Olive cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the images from the Country Home Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I cut down the Chicken Wire embellishment which went under the vase which I adhered down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s TGIF Challenges.
