Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Fun Fold

I was so inspired by yesterday’s color challenge that I decided to make another card inspired by them.

You can see yesterday’s card here.

My card today starts off with Pool Party cardstock.  See picture below for measurements.

I then separately stamped the flower from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut it out using the Magnolia Memory Dies.

I cut panels of Whisper White cardstock to adhere on the outside flap and inside panel of the card.

Before adhering the flower down, I stamped the other flower bud and leaves on two of the corners and colored them in the same way.  I then adhered the large cut out magnolia to the card front edge using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Daffodil Delight ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock.

I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the bigger floral in Daffodil Delight ink, the smaller floral in Pool Party ink, and the leaves in Old Olive ink.

I used the Nested Stitched Dies to cut out a label and stamped the small rose in Daffodil Delight ink (stamping off first) and then the sentiment over it in Pool Party ink from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp.

I wound behind it some Silver Thread and adhered a small panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock down.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! CAS It Starts with Art Card

Sometimes you just need a quick CAS (clean and simple) card with a fun sentiment.

The Follow Your Art Suite is perfect for such a card.

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock.  Next I layered a pattern from the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper on Pacific Point cardstock.

Next I used the Nested Stitched Dies to cut out another pattern from the Follow Your Art Designer series Paper.

I stamped the sentiment from the It Starts with Art Stamp Set in Pacific Point ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I cut it out using the Layering Circles Dies and adhered it over a Petal Pink stitched circle which I cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

For the fun of it, I made the same card but this time with Calypso Coral cardstock.

Which is your favorite?

Stampin’ Up! 1 Design, 2 Cards Hold on to Hope

A customer recently requested I make a card using the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set.

I have to admit it’s not one I pull out often, but I’m always up for a challenge (and I love when someone requests something).
Here’s what I came up with…

My card starts off with Pretty Peacock Cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder.

I matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on a Silver Foil Sheet and stamped the floral image from the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock on the front.

Next I cut out the solid cross and the detailed one from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Cross of Hope dies and adhered them over each other.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out using the same Cross of Hope Dies.

I wanted to see what it would look like if I switched up the colors and this is what I came up with…

Same design, just reversed the colors around.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Capture the Good Happy Birthday Card

Second to my stamping…
I LOVE picture taking.

I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a photographer because I’m by no means a professional, but I simply LOVE capturing a moment with a picture.

So I knew I wanted the Capture the Good Stamp Set both for card making and scrapbooking.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  On the top and bottom I stamped the sentiment from the Capture the Good Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green ink.

Next I did a little layering of Granny Apple Green, Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock.

I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Memento Black ink for the card front.  On the inside (which ironically enough I forgot to take a picture of) I stamped the sentiment “the focus is all on you.”

I stamped the camera image in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I then fussy cut this out.

I repeated this two more times and used the Layering Circle Dies to cut out two circles from the lens, adhering them down one over the other with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Graduation Card – Above the Clouds Bundle

It’s that time of the year…

Graduation.
and the new Above the Clouds Bundle is perfect for such an occasion!

My card today starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the clouds in Seaside Spray ink and birds in Blushing Bride ink on it from the Above the Clouds Stamp Set.  I then matted this on Whisper White cardstock.

I took another piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the outline of the balloon image in Seaside Spray ink.  I stamped the solid image in Seaside Spray ink, but stamping off first.  I cut it out using the Hot Air Balloon Punch and repeated this for the other balloons in Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron ink.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Above the Clouds Stamp Set in Seaside Spray ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! You Always Deliver Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

For the month of June I’m doing a challenge a day with my team.
Each challenge is different and may be related to stamping or might just be an encouragement.

One of the challenges was to do a random act of kindness in handing out/sending a card to someone who you don’t know (or at least know well).
I created today’s card for my postman who I have kept very busy lately as a way to say thank you.

My card starts off with Balmy Blue cardstock.  I wrapped around it a Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine bow.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the delivery man, package, and dog from the You Always Deliver Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

I colored it in using the Light Basic Black (shoes), Dark Night of Navy (stripe on pants), Light Night of Navy (pants, bag), Dark and Light Balmy Blue (shirt, hat), Dark and Light Real Red (package), Ivory (skin), Light Soft Suede (mustache), Light Crumb Cake (dog, packages), Dark Crumb Cake (spots on dog)

Using the Rectangle Stitched Dies I cut out a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.  On it I stamped the sentiment from the You Always Deliver Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!
