Stampin’ Up! Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!

I wanted to create a super clean Halloween card for today.

I start off with Basic Black cardstock.  I then took a panel of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I took a pattern from the Spooky Night DSP and cut it in a 2′ banner.

I cut down the pattern of the Spooky Night DSP with the tree and then cut out two pumpkins to adhere in the moonlight.  I matted this on Basic Black cardstock and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Seasonal Chums in Memento Black ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and snipped the end of it.  Lastly I added a few black rhinestones!

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s MFT Card Sketch Challenge.

Today’s card starts off with Basic Black cardstock with a pattern from the Spooky Nights DSP adhered over the card front.  I then took another pattern and matted it on some Basic Black cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

I then took a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted it on Basic Black cardstock.  I stamped the pumpkin from the Seasonal Chums stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored it in using the brand new Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers.  I used the Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive markers to color it in.

What I like about the markers after playing with them for a bit is: 1. They can be used with Whisper White paper – no watercolor paper needed; 2. They don’t leave lines when coloring in; 3. They’re forgiving – I’m by no means an expert in coloring and I found them easy to use; 4. A Color Lifter was offered for any “oops” you may make.  As soon as they are available to customers I promise to let you know!

The Stampin’ Blends will be available to all customers to purchase beginning November 1st!!

I fussy cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth of the Jack-o-lantern and cut out a small piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock to adhere to the back of it.  I cut out the pumpkin and the leaves (Old Olive cardstock) using the Seasonal Tags framelits.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Pumpkin Pie and snipped the end in a banner.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums

Today’s card is a simple, but cute Halloween card.  I recently won this fun Seasonal Chums Bundle from the *best* upline ever Amy.  We have a great, great team and if you’d like more information on what joining looks like, click here.

My card today starts with Old Olive cardstock.  I then took one panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut a circle out of it using the Layering Circles Framelits.

Now to get the circles cut out of the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive cardstock so it aligned perfectly, I had to be a bit creative.  I put the Very Vanilla first over the Pumpkin Pie cardstock after having aligned them up – not adhering them yet.  I took a pencil and marked in four spots where the circle would be and then took the Pumpkin Pie cardstock, lined up the framelit, and cut out the circle.  I did the same thing to the Old Olive cardstock.  I adhered a piece of Vellum paper between the Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then adhered everything together.

I cut out a strip from one of the patterns in the Spooky Nights DSP for my first layer.  Next I stamped the pumpkin in Archival Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock.  I colored it in using a Blender Pen and Pumpkin Pie (pumpkin), Daffodil Delight (jack-o-lantern part), Old Olive (leaves), and Crumb Cake (stem) inks.  I cut it out and a few leaves from Old Olive cardstock using the Seasonal Tags framelits.  I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla cardstock in Old Olive ink and decorated the leaves around it.

Enjoy!

My whole purpose, really, in cutting out the circles from the framelits was to be able to have a cute detail on the inside of my card.  I added a strip of the same pattern from the Spooky Nights DSP and the back stamped and colored in version of the pumpkin.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

Stampin’ Up! Spooky Night

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts with Very Vanilla cardstock.  I then took another panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted it on a panel of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, which I then layered on a pattern from the Spooky Night DSP.

I stamped the sentiment from the Labels to Love stamp set in Archival Black ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I cut it out using the Everyday Label punch and adhered it to the card.

I then fussy cut out a bunch of pumpkins from the Spooky Night DSP using Paper snips and then organized them around the card.  I also cut out some leaves from Basic Black cardstock and Vellum paper using the Leaf Punch and adhered them under some pumpkins.  Lastly, I wrapped around some Basic Black Baker’s Twine in a bow.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Halloween Fun Blog Hop

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop them is Halloween Fun.  Have fun hopping around to see what everyone’s created.

Please keep in mind – Several of us had Irma roll through our areas and knock out power so there may be a few links that aren’t working quite right if you run through the hop early. Hopefully there won’t be any hiccups, but please be patient with us if there are. We’ll get them fixed just as quickly as we can.

My card starts off with Pumpkin cardstock.  I used the Merry Café stamp set and stamped the little spider webs in Archival Black ink in two corners.  I stamped the Halloween sentiment from the Labels to Love in Archival Black ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then fussy cut out the bats to adhere next to the spider webs.

I took a pattern from the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and matted it on Basic Black cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Using the Large Letters Framelits, I cut out the letters to spell “Boo” using Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I stamped the same Halloween sentiment from before using the Labels to Love stamp set, this time fussy cutting out the smaller sentiment.  I adhered it above a strip of Shimmery Basic Black ribbon.

Then…

I saw these super cute Tic Tac Halloween candies at my local grocery store and decided to create a 3D holder for them.  Although I’ve made 3D projects before, I’ve never come up with the dimensions myself – so this was wayyyyy out of my comfort zone.  I’m pleased with the way it came out and even learned a thing or two along the way.

Enjoy!
