Stampin’ Up! Another Wonderful Year Father’s Day Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Soft Suede cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink across the front of the card and then used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out an oval out of the front.

I adhered a Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card and stamped the trees from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink.

I then stamped a bunch of the same trees in Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits.  I adhered them to the side of the card and to each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals so they would cover the oval opening.

I stamped the same sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and adhered it over the trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I added a button from the True Gentleman Buttons and tied a Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine bow in it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Father’s Day Video Tutorial

Yay for it being Wednesday!

That means I’ll be going live tonight with another Facebook Live Tutorial.  Last week I made the card below and I have another masculine birthday card for you tonight.

Be sure to join me at 7:30 pm EST!  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card!

Today’s card is super easy to make – the Designer Series Paper does all the work…well, with the help of a little fussy cutting on your part.

For my example I made a Father’s Day card, but in the video I turned it into a birthday card.  The Well Said Stamp Set is so versatile that you can pretty much make any sort of sentiment needed.

Be sure to join me tonight.  The masculine birthday card I’ll make uses a new technique that I tried out.  I’d love to know what you think!

To see how I created today’s card, click the video below.  If you ever miss any of my videos, you can always see all of them on my YouTube Channel.

Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Mother’s Day Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is “Feminine.”  Have fun hopping around to see how all the ladies interpreted the them.

I went with a really simple Mother’s Day card using the new color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the All My Love Designer Series Paper.

I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the “shelf,” vases, and outline of the flowers and leaves in Memento Black ink.

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments new color challenge was how I picked the colors I did.  Be sure to play along with us this month.

I used Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Call Me Clover inks to add color to the flowers and leaves.  I added a few Pearls inside the one flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons Thank you & Mother’s Day Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made yesterday at a stamp party I held for a group of moms.

They had requested to make birthday and thank you cards.  I chose this particular sentiment in particular as I thought it could be used as a thank you or even a Mother’s Day card.

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I then layered a pattern from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper on a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock.

This paper is FREE right now with any order of $50 during Sale-A-Bration.  Time’s running out so don’t wait to get yours today!

I used the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered under it a piece of Poppy Parade ribbon and adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

The Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper.

This paper is part of a bundle (stamp set & DSP) that you receive for free with any $100 order through the end of March.
And let me tell you – this paper is ahhhhmazing!

My card starts off with Call Me Clover cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper on Petal Pink cardstock.

Next I adhered down another pattern from the Painted Seasons DSP.  I then added a few leaves using the Wonderful Floral Thinlits cut out from Call Me Clover and Petal Pink cardstock.

I wrapped around some Whisper White Baker’s Twine in a bow.

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

With Mother’s Day coming up, it’s time to make beautiful feminine cards!  I think daffodils and Mother’s Day go hand-in-hand.  They usually start popping around that time here in Upstate New York.

My card starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock which I embossed using the Basket Weave Embossing Folder (carried over from Sale-a-bration – yay!).

I then took a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the daffodils from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set on it in Archival Black ink.  I colored it in using an Aqua Painter and Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and NEW Call Me Clover inks.  I matted it on Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

I cut out the lattice from Silver cardstock using the Petals & More Thinlits.  I stamped the sentiment in Call Me Clover ink on a banner of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it with dimensionals.  I then added a few Silver Enamel circles around the daffodil.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! – Mother’s Day – Petal Palette

This month’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is “Feminine.”

I figured with Mother’s Day sort of around the corner, I would take advantage and make a card for the occasion.

My card today starts off with Pink Pirouette cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Rich Razzlebery cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Then I took a long pattern from the Tutti-Frutti DSP and adhered it over everything.

I stamped the flower from the Petal Palette Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I then used Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers to color them in.  I cut it out using the coordinating Petals & More Thinlits.  I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a stitched circle and then the next smallest circle to cut a hole out of it.  I adhered this first and then the flowers over using Stampin’ Dimensionlas.

I stamped the sentiment from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set (using the Washi Tape Technique to cover part of the sentiment) in Rich Razzleberry ink.  I adhered this down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, I added some pearls and a Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette heart around everything.

Enjoy!

Lift Me Up – Father’s Day Card

My card today starts off with Pacific Point cardstock.  I took another panel of Pacific Point cardstock and dry embossed it using the Hexagon TIEF.  I took the brayer and Crumb Cake ink and lightly brushed over the top of the embossed paper, going over certain areas more than others so it was an uneven look.  I matted it on Basic Black cardstock and adhered it to the card.

Next I created a 2″ banner of Crumb Cake cardstock and using the same brayer with Crumb Cake ink on it, brushed around the edges of it.  I stamped the hot air balloon image from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Archival Black on Crumb Cake cardstock.  I cut it out using the Up & Away thinlits and highlighted the outside again using the brayer.

I cut out another smaller hot air balloon in Basic Black cardstock using the Up & Away thinlits and adhered the balloons to the card.  I stamped in Pacific Point ink the sentiment from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and inked the edges again using the brayer.

Enjoy!
