Stampin’ Up! A Cut Above Masculine Card

The A Cut Above Stamp Set has special meaning for me.

I talked about it in this post here, so I of course wanted to use it again. I just love this adorable man whistling away while he mows.

I trimmed my card down so it was more narrow. I then stamped the man mowing image from the A Cut Above Stamp Set in Memento Black ink. I colored it in using Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, and Ivory & Bronze Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I then embossed the front using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Next I stamped the clouds, bird, and sun on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock. I colored them in using the Daffodil Delight and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers and fussy cut them out.

I stamped the sentiment from the A Cut Above Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Mother’s Day Gift Giving Idea

Mother’s Day is coming up and with it a great opportunity to say thank you to mom!

Showing moms gratitude on Mother’s Day goes beyond even our biological mom. It can be a step-mom, grandma, daughter who is a mom, a mother figure, or a good friend who is a mom.

All moms deserve to be acknowledged, praised, and thanked.

I have a great gift idea for that special mom in your life – a Box of Cards!!

Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven Mother’s Day Card

This week we’re talking about showing gratitude and for today I have a Mother’s Day card using the Hydrangea Haven Bundle.

The card may not come straight out and say thank you, but I think you’d agree that Mother’s Day is like 24 hours dedicated to saying thank you to mom.

Now, let’s be clear, I say mom, but it can be a mother figure, step-mom, grandma, or a friend who happens to be a mom.

Let’s take some time today to think about what mom in your life could use a thank you – you know, that mom who gives and gives and deserves some acknowledgment and gratitude for all they do!

Now on to the card details…

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock, on which I adhered two patterns from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper. I covered the seam with a piece of Gorgeous Grape ribbon.

Next, I took a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the “splotch” from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set (from the top down) in Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive ink. Over that I stamped the hydrangea image in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink and matted it, as well as the other Basic White panel, on Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

I then added a couple of Pastel Pearls and a Rhinestone around the sentiment and added a Gorgeous Grape bow.

*Tip: I always tie the bow separate and just adhere it over. Firstly because I always do a fork bow and secondly because it’s just easier!

Stampin’ Up! A Cut Above Birthday Card & Video

My grandfather…he was a very special man, and if anyone ever asked where his house was, you’d just say on Sand Creek Road, the one with the immaculate lawn.

When I say immaculate, I mean it – he never mowed in the same direction twice in a row, the lines were perfect – it was ALL about the lines – and he hand dug up (the few and far between) dandelions.

It was greener than green, felt like a carpet, and he took great pride in it.

Ironically enough, my Dad is now the same way – the man lives for his lawn! Today’s card is dedicated to the two lawn-loving men in my life!

Stampin Up A Cut Above Father's Day Masculine Birthday Card

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock, which I covered with a Crumb Cake pattern from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper. I took a small piece of Denim Ribbon and stapled it into the corner before adhering it down.

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and cut it using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the images from the A Cut Above Stamp Set on it in Memento Black ink.

I then matted it on a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and offset a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock underneath.

Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Fun Fold with Video

Happy Wednesday!!!

I don’t know about you but it’s been a doozy of a week and I am SO looking forward to my Facebook live tonight!!!

Today’s card is the one I shared last week.

I created a masculine birthday card that slides out of its sleeve using the Handsomely Suited Bundle. The whole Well Suited Suite is awesome – stamps, dies, designer paper, thread – it all coordinates together making cards come together easy and still look amazing!

I used Basic Gray cardstock for the suit, Thick Basic White for the shirt, and a Well Suited Designer Series Paper pattern for the tie and then turned it into a fun card to open!

Tonight I’ll be back with another card I’ll be making live, this time using the Springtime Joy Stamp Set, perfect for spring and Easter!!!

Come join me at 7:30 pm EST tonight on my Facebook page! If you watch it live, you’ll have a chance to win the card!!! (Please know that per Stampin’ Up! rules, I can only mail the card within the United States.)

Thanks for checking out my card today!!!

Stampin’ Up! Only Stamping Welcoming Window Card

Sometimes you just throw the bells and whistles out the window and stick to paper and ink.

I shared today’s card a few weeks ago in my live video, but wanted to share it here on my blog as well.
Granted, the Welcoming Window Bundle is gorgeous and I highly recommend getting the matching dies, but I wanted to show that you can still make a beautiful card with just the stamps.

My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock.

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and created my window scene using Crumb Cake (window, sentiment), Gray Granite (stamped off for bricks), Mint Macaron (shutters, plant), Bumblebee (pot) Inks.

I then matted it on a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock.

And that’s it – super simple – ink and paper.

I’ll be back tonight with a live stamping tutorial on my Facebook page at 7:30 EST. It’s a masculine card…which can always be tricky so you won’t want to miss it…AND it’s a fun fold!

WHAT?! Me…a fun fold?! I know, what can I say.

Join me live and you might just win the card!!!

Thanks for checking out my project today!
Whether you’re just starting off stamping or have been doing it for years, be sure to add the Welcoming Window Stamp Set to your wish list!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Mother’s Day Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Celebrate Spring.”

In Upstate New York the weekend of Mother’s Day every year we have a local Tulip Fest, so I had to use the Timeless Tulips for today’s card.

My card starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I then adhered over it a Daffodil Delight pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

I then stamped the stem and leaves from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I applied Daffodil Delight ink to the tulip stamps using a Dauber, fussy cut them out, and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz ink and underneath it adhered a Daffodil Delight bow.

Enjoy!
